Fondue at Eleven Tables, Kapitolyo, Pasig City

Posted by on May 20, 2012 in Food | 2 comments

For my birthday last April, I treated one of my barkadas to an interesting little place in Pasig. This group of mine always gets together for one of our birthdays, usually at some new and interesting place. My specific interest in this place was the fact that they are known for FONDUE. We have been talking about doing fondue for several years and never really got around to it. When I came across this place while reading some Foodie blog posts, I knew this has got to be the resto to treat for my birthday.

Sango Burger, Rockwell

Posted by on May 7, 2012 in Food | 1 comment

My experience at Sango was MEH! For the cost of a burger 3x that of the ever sacred Quarter Pounder. I would rather eat in a roadside Burger Machine which has more flavor than at Sango ever again.

Posted by on Apr 10, 2012 in Adventure, Food, Travel | 2 comments

I arrived on Easter Island at around 6am. The tour folk picked me up and settled me into my hotel. After having some breakfast and unpacking at the hotel, I set out on a 3 hour walk around the town of Hanga Roa. By the time I got to the town, it was around 11:40 am so I decided to locate a local eatery and have some lunch.

Food Tripping in SoCal–Feb 2012

Posted by on Mar 1, 2012 in Food | 2 comments

I was supposed to attend a conference in Seattle, but due to a business opportunity the cropped up in Southern California (SoCal), I changed my plans and few south from San Francisco. My stay wasn’t for tour purposes, so I didn’t really visit anything of tourist, cultural, or recreational value. But as the expression goes… “you gotta eat.” So I found myself dining out here and there in the brief time I was in SoCal.

Chicken Rice Shop, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City

Posted by on Feb 4, 2012 in Food | 16 comments

As readers of my blog know, I have this constant quest for the perfect Hainanese Chicken and its many variants. Along South Katipunan (that is what I call the section of Katipunan past the Katipunan-Aurora Flyover nearer White Plains) on my way to work each morning — and subsequently on my way home each afternoon/evening — I pass by this new restaurant called “Chicken Rice Shop.” It is located in the same building where the Army Navy Burger and Burrito place is.

House of Wagyu, Mandaluyong

Posted by on Nov 22, 2011 in Food | 2 comments

Followers of the food themed posts of this blog will know that I have a love for hole-in-the wall restaurants and usually stay away from glitzy restaurants. For me its simply a balance of good food and value. But of course, every now and then, I find myself in an upscale restaurant like “House of Wagyu.”
