Shakey’s Thin Crust Pizza… ultimate comfort food

I seem to be dwelling on comfort food lately. One of the ultimate comfort food of my generation (yes, you know who you are) is Shakey’s Thin Crust Pizza. Yes. you know what I am talking about… whether as simple as Cheese and Garlic, Manager’s Choice, Friday Special or classic Pepperoni Pizza… nothing really will satisfy our taste buds like the only Pizza from our childhood (not really, the “other” childhood pizza was 3M or Panna Pizza).

Long before the thick crusts of Pizza Hut, we had Shakey’s Thin Crust Pizza. Walang sinabi ang CPK, Yellow Cab, or whatever fad Pizza chain there is now. Ito ang Pizza na babalik, balikan. Sorry John Lloyd, wala rin sinabi si Greenwich dito.

Ate at Shakey’s earlier today and I could not resist getting Ye’ old Shakey’s styro hat. Just like I had when I was a kid.

Ah… classic Pepperoni Thin Crust.
