Atwayan Beach. Coron, Palawan (Day 2, Part 2) – June 5, 2009
From Seiete Pecados, we went to Atwayan Beach for some beach activities and lunch. The kids jumped into the water immediately while our bangkeros prepared our food on the beach.

There were these little huts along the beach. Getting there early was important as these huts were few. As we would learn later through lunch, the place would get pretty crowded.

Atwayan was one of those little islands which served as picnic areas in the Coron area. Apparently there are a few of these little beaches for this purpose.
Walking around the long strip of beach, it too had its little sights. Again, a beautiful strip of nature.

Meanwhile, our food was being prepared. Yum. Typical island hoping food… steamed crabs, inihaw na isda (honestly I wasn’t sure what fish it was), inihaw na liempo, ensalada (for the token veggies), rice and bananas for dessert. YUM!
We where here pretty early. Within the next hour the shoreline was filling up with other boats… landing for the lunch picnics as well.

Luckily we were early.
After lunch… we headed to to Twin Lagoons!

we had lunch at this place also, awesome Coron, Palawan
love the photos! Have you been to Banol Beach? I’ll be going to Coron before summer and don’t have a place to stay yet. Coron Village Lodge vs Birang’s Lodge. The former has reliable tourguides, a little more expensive and the latter is by the water (yay!) and a little less expensive. Both offer all-inclusive but one goes to Atwayan Beach and the other to Banol and the shipwreck. Both package tours include the Kayangan, twin lagoon, 7 pecados, Mt Tapyas and Maquinit hot springs.
PLease advise. HAppy travels!
