Siete Pecados, Coron, Palawan (Day 2, Part 1) – June 5, 2009
We got up early of Day 2, June 5 to start our day-long island hopping trip around Coron.
Our first destination, Siete Picados Marine Park

According to the Coron Travel brochure – “This cluster of seven islets is home to rich marine life, abundant corals, fish of varied colors and species. The beauty underneath makes Siete Pecados one of Coron’s best sites for snorkeling.”
I would have to agree with the brochure. The place is beautiful.
Ok, we got to the islets. I didn’t actually count them at the time. I guess they were seven.

Bawal daw dumaan… I wasn’t sure what to make of this sign. I later figured when I swam to this island that the corals were not very bangka friendly.
I jumped off the boat and explored the area.

The water was nice and clear. And there were a lot of fish in the area.

Here’s a brief video I took with one gulp of air as I dove in.
This rough limestone rock cliff is apparently the trademark of everywhere we went.

I was swam over to one of the islets. Beautiful! During these island hoping trips, I’d rather not wear a life vest. Or else I couldn’t dive.

As described… lots of corals, color fish, and clear water

We swam around at the area for around 45 min. I helped my godchildren by having them tug on me as I swam around.
We then left for the next destination were we would also have lunch.

Our next destination was Atwayan Beach for lunch.

So sad, we missed the Siete Pecados! On our first day it was low tide while on our return, the waves were bigger and scarier… Jennie
