Kainan sa Dalampasigan, Nasugbu Batanagas – July 5, 2009
During a day-trip roadtrip to Batangas, we were coming back from Calatagan when we were planning to go back to Tagaytay to eat at Sonya’s Garden. When we reached the intersection at the junction which told us to turn right back to Tagaytay, Jasper suggested we go straight to Nasugbu… just to see what’s there. So as was the objective of the day’s trip… what the hey… so we went.
We followed the signs, which included signs to Jollibee in Nasugbu. We were talking that Jollibee would be the absolute “last choice”. Not that we didn’t like Jollibee, but on a roadtrip, the last place you want to eat in is a safe resto like Jollibee.
So we reached Nasugbu, Batangas at around 12:30. We saw the Jollibee sign in the distance… then we saw a simple white sign with green paint “Kainan sa Dalampasigan.” A simple “gusto mo diyan?” and I turned left. We were expecting a restaurant by the beach… or at least close to it. Not far from the national road, we saw a sign on the right… telling us to turn left. We entered this roadway with hanging vines and I said to myself “not bad.”
I let the guys off at the entrance, then I parked the car due to the drizzle. The parking lot was full of cars… big cars. So I thought that the place must be pretty popular.
So here is our meal.

Tanigue Steak. Very Good! Tasted like bistek tagalog… but fish!

I don’t remember what this was called. Seafood something-something. It had tahong, fried bangus, pork, shrimp, ensalada, green mango, and bagoong! Yum!

Bulalo with corn… sobrang sarap!

Syempre dapat may kalamansi at sili

And the ultimate finale… lechon kawali!
All in all our meal was delicious. Should have ordered the leche flan for dessert.
I would recommend this place to anyone! Great place for pinoy comfort food!

Yum yum yum!

definitely cardiac delight!
